Who we are

LegacyTress is a braiding salon at 7644 Margate Blvd, Margate, FL 33063. If you have a question about this notice or your information, call us at 561-970-4193 or ask us in the salon.

Booking appointments and event tickets

Appointments are booked on Fresha and event tickets are sold on Eventbrite. When you book there, they collect your name, contact details and payment information under their own privacy policies. We receive the details we need to prepare for your visit. Payments, including Klarna, are handled by those providers. We never see or store your full card number.

AI Braid Preview (selfies)

When you use the AI Braid Preview, the photo you upload or take is sent to OpenAI to create your preview image. We do not save your photo or the preview on our website.

OpenAI processes the photo for us and, under its API terms, may keep it for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse. It does not use it to train its models. Please only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has given you permission. If they are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Virtual Color Studio

The Virtual Color Studio uses your camera inside your browser. The video stays on your device and is not sent to us.

AI Hair Concierge (chat and voice)

Messages you type to the Hair Concierge are sent to OpenAI to write a reply. If you start a voice call, your browser asks for microphone permission and then connects your audio directly to OpenAI for that conversation. We do not record calls or keep chat transcripts on our website. Please do not share medical, payment or other sensitive details in the chat.

Newsletter

If you join our list in the website footer, we save your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to send LegacyTress styles, tips and offers, and we may load the list into an email service to send them. To be removed, use the unsubscribe link in any email or call us at 561-970-4193.

Analytics and advertising

We may use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use the site. For example, we can see how many people tap "Book Now". These tools use cookies and similar technology and receive details such as the pages you visit, your device and your approximate location. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use Google's opt-out add-on and your Facebook ad preferences.

Other services on our pages

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, images from Cloudinary and an embedded map from Google Maps. Like any website, these services receive your IP address when your browser loads them.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not keep your selfies, voice or chat messages on our website.
• Our website is not meant for children under 13.
